Summer of 2020 saw the first summer the Tonn Nua Surf Club was operating.
We even had Irelands Top female surfer Easkey Britton come and join us on a lesson with a few of the local girls in September 2020.
The club is a great way for people who are in the area for a while or locals to get the most out of the Tonn Nua Surf School.
We have had total begineers join the club and go on to surfing on their own with their own boards. The club is aimed to improve awareness of water safety and to teach people how to surf at a pace they are comfortable with.
If you are an experienced surfer then the club will also be running more advanced surf lessons for the more experienced. These will be focused on more advance skills and techniques to help you improve.
We run weekly surf lessons for members only and tailor the lesson to the groups needs and abilities.
The lessons will also include a surf safety lesson, to ensure your safety on the water in your own time.
The member ship will also get you a big discount in rental of equipment outside of lessons. It will cost €5 instead of the usual €20 for board and wetsuit.
If you want to join a lesson outside of the members only lesson it will a discounted rate of €10 per member, during the membership.
Members will also get a free Tonn Nua Surf School tshirt worth €20.
I will also be notifying members if there are any available spaces on lessons during the summer.
All ages are welcome. Surfing isn't just for kids!
All swimming abilities are welcome, if you have never surfed before you are very welcome. Beginner friendly!
The prices are as follows.
€250 for the 3 months of June, July and August.
€100 for 4 consecutive weeks.

Daniel went to the surf camp twice this summer & a group of us went for a lesson today. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it even though the weather wasn't great this morning. Great fun for all ages, my family had a group booking ranging from 3 to 30's and they all had a great time. all the children wanted to go again the following day and are still asking when they can go back, which will be very soon. thank you

If you love the sea do not leave Belmullet without booking a lesson or 2 with Declan. My boys are 10 and 8 and had never surfed before. After 1 session they were hooked. Declan is fantastic and I will be going back anytime we are in Mayo. Fantastic and highly recommend.
