Our Lessons are the Perfect Introduction to Surfing
If you have never surfed before or you have forgotten how, we can get you riding the waves. If it’s a private one to one lesson or you are a group wanting to have some fun, we have a lesson that will fit your needs.
The lessons are completely beginner friendly and non-experienced swimmers are very welcome.
We take everyone from ages of 6 to 96. With children under the age of 12 we ask the parent or guardian to remain at the beach throughout the lesson. Perfect time for a stroll along the beach while the kids are busy, or you could join them in the surf.
Our equipment is perfect for learning, with our soft top boards and warm wet suits you will be well on your way to catching the wave of your life. If you have your own wetsuit bring it and you could use it.
All our Lessons are thought by fully qualified and experienced instructors. The instructors can also teach the lesson with a cúpla focal as Gaeilge so you can learn some new words to impress your friends along with your new surfing skills.
The lesson will be 2 hours long, minimum of 90 minutes in the water.
It will include:
- Surfboard and wet suit are provided
- Warm up
- All safety instructions
- Lesson how to catch a wave and paddling
- Lesson on how to stand up and stay in control of your board
- Relaxed and Fun atmosphere

If you love the sea do not leave Belmullet without booking a lesson or 2 with Declan. My boys are 10 and 8 and had never surfed before. After 1 session they were hooked. Declan is fantastic and I will be going back anytime we are in Mayo. Fantastic and highly recommend.
